I can't believe it's Dec. 1. Time goes so quickly. Here are a couple of updates about preschool.

Fundraiser: We will continue until we run out books. I can get more if needed. I know we were about out of the 250 purchased. Please let me know if you need more books and turn in money as needed.

Christmas Program: The Christmas program is Dec. 7 @ 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. Cookies & punch will be served following the program. In the event of inclement weather we will reschedule the program to Dec 14.

Progress reports: We will send home progress reports next week. Please let us know if you have questions.

Christmas Party: We will have a Christmas party on Monday, Dec. 21 with a small gift exchange. The boys will need to bring a boy gift and the girls and girl gift. The limit is $5.00. The gift needs to be wrapped.

Please remember we will not have school if Wellsville cancels because of weather. Please tune into channels 4, 5, 9, or 41 and look for Wellsville USD 289.

Fundraiser to begin on Monday!!!!

Our preschool fundraiser will begin on Monday, November 23 and continue through the next few weeks. We are going to be selling coupon books through Price Chopper. They sell for $5.00 and the preschool makes $4.00 profit.

They have $50 worth of coupons. I will distribute some on Monday and keep some at the preschool. The coupons are good at any grocery store and one is $5.00 off @ Price Chopper.

Our goal is to make between $600 - $800. This money will be used to pay for graduation, and our big end of the year field trip.

Please look for information Monday and do not hesitate to contact me with questions.

The Preschool Advisory board met Thursday night to discuss the fundraiser and our budget for the remainder of 2009-2010 school year.

Update

Well....I got the nasal mist for the boys today at the Franklin County Health Department. I was notified by a friend that they had some in stock, and they were free! We headed to Ottawa, and until we actually pulled in the parking lot I still was not 100% sure we were doing it. Well, I talked to friends at Children's Mercy, our doctor's office again & the nurses at the health department, and decided it was in the best interest of my kids to get them the vaccine.

I talked to Miss Jenny tonight and she got the vaccine for her daughter today too at Price Chopper in Gardner.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

H1N1 vaccine

I am really struggling with the H1N1 vaccine for my three boys. I have read through tons of articles on both sides, called my doctor's office, and spoke to several friends. The arguments for and against are both convincing, putting me (and many others) in the situation of not knowing what to do. I am going to keep calling my doctor's office to see when they get the vaccines in and then make a decision. I am happy to discuss what I have found, so feel free to call me with questions.

Please feel free to do your own research and make a decision that is best for your family.

The Franklin County Health department is doing vaccine clinics for certain age groups, and you can get on their list if you choose. I know the clinics will be offering the nasal mist for free, but I don't know about the injection.
